Desktop Support Specialist

(Onsite: Chicago)

The Desktop Support Specialist role will have primary responsibility for Help Desk duties both firm wide and locally in your specified office. You will provide support to end-users on a variety of IT issues in an effective and timely manner. You will be able to communicate with technical and non-technical users, apply critical thinking to common and complex scenarios, and provide superior customer service.

How You’ll Help Our Team Succeed

  • Provide competent, service-oriented support and resolve problems to end-users satisfaction, firm-wide and locally.
  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.
  • Review, respond to, and track all requests from beginning to through resolution for all tickets received during mailbox shift in accordance to established SLA.
  • Perform meeting set-ups, including video conferences with other offices and clients.
  • Coordinate with teammates and administrative teams to resolve issues and provide technical support for meetings.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 3 years of IT experience in a Help Desk capacity that demonstrates increasing capability and responsibility; experience in a professional services firm.
  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm’s financial and operational
  • The mindset to provide superior
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
  • Expertise in supporting Windows 10 in a large-scale enterprise Windows Active Directory.
  • Excellent remote access troubleshooting (internet connections, RSA tokens, Anyconnect, etc). 
  • Ticket Management software experience such as Footprints
  • Proficient knowledge of CLI, VPN, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficient knowledge of LAN/WAN networking technologies. 
  • Ability to thoroughly follow SOP, checklists, and other instructions. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
