Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a Billing Representative to join our growing team in Cornwall, NY.

RATE OF PAY/SALARY: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

WORK LOCATION(S): Cornwall, NY

STATUS: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

• Electronic submission of all claims.
• Updates patient demographics and insurance information in the practice management system.
• Reviews encounters for appropriate coding, ICD-10/CPT.
• Enters insurance payments into the practice management system.
• Reconciles all denials from insurance companies.
• Appeals denied/unpaid claims.
• Submits electronic patient statements for self pay patients and any and all appropriate co-pays.
• Provides follow-up and collects on any outstanding accounts.
• Interacts with patients regarding billing questions and concerns on their accounts.
• Review remittance reports for all denials and follow up with appropriate insurance companies.
• Attend and participate in monthly department, All Staff and other required meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of CORNERSTONE including, but not limited to, patient confidentiality, financials, and employee relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual
• 2 years experience with medical billing and/or Associates Degree in Medical Billing or Medical Billing Certificate preferred
