Summary
The Electronic Technician will work throughout the state of Maryland and Virginia, supporting Corman Kokosing heavy highway and heavy industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for low voltage DC systems typically found on equipment and vehiclesand two-way radio communication equipment.
- Responsible for the installation and maintenance of security and phone systems
- Oversee automated machine control systems integrating computer control with hydraulics and electric on equipment,telematics and other various electrical systems.
- Responsible for specialized equipment utilizing PLC controls for process control in production applications
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of DC voltage distribution, controls, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of two-way radio equipment installation, setup, and maintenance
- Knowledge of telephone systems (installation, programming)
- Knowledge of security system installation, setup, and maintenance
- Knowledge of Electrical Distribution Systems and configurations
- Ability to be flexible and learn new systems, applying what you already know
- Good mechanical skills
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good work ethic and the ability to work through problems with the end in mind
- Good communication skills and the ability to work alone or in a group
Education and Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
