We are seeking a senior designer to join our Branded Environments team. The team is based in our Dallas office, however, this position is open to several of our locations including Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Phoenix. Please be sure to tell us which locations you are seeking. Applicant must be able to commute to one of these offices. This talented individual will assist Project Managers as well as the team Director on challenging projects creating quality experiential, navigational, and graphic solutions for Corgan’s clients and end users.

Our ideal Senior Designer is highly motivated and seeking progressively more responsibilities and assignments. Some of these responsibilities are:

  • Be the primary support for Project Managers and a key team leader with opportunities to grow and develop Project Management and Design leadership skills 
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Architecture and Interior Design teams from various sectors to develop creative solutions that enhance the overall brand experience and sense of place 
  • Provide design leadership and be a key contributor to the development of creative and strategic signage, branding and wayfinding solutions for clients in a variety of market sectors 
  • Design, coordinate and execute detailed design concepts including how they relate to the overall design of the project 
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors and disciplines on behalf of the PM and project team when necessary 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff by imparting expertise regarding materials, execution, printing techniques and other industry best practices 
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, specifications, print samples and more 
  • Travel to project sites to meet with clients and vendors for project kick-offs, key milestones, field verification, site surveys and punch walks 
  • Assist with project staffing needs and schedules on the PM’s behalf when necessary 

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following: graphic design, interior design, architecture, industrial design or related field; and have 7 years professional experience working on projects across market sectors

Other qualifications include: 

  • Demonstrated experience with the production of signage, wayfinding and experiential packages from conception through completion 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite; Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling and other visualization software a plus 
  • Familiarity and experience with signage and wayfinding projects, including navigating local codes and ADA regulation 
  • Possess understanding of building design and construction and how it will relate to wayfinding and the experience of a space 
  • Proven skills in developing design schemes
  • Experience balancing and prioritizing deliverables for multiple projects at once 
  • Experience working in commercial, aviation, healthcare and/or education settings, keeping within the constraints of local municipalities and building codes including ADA 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic with strong motivation and willingness to learn more 
  • Adaptability with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, effective communication skills and confident presentation ability
