SUMMARY
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of regulations and laws impacting the credit union. Performs monitoring of credit union programs, products and services to ensure regulatory compliance. Oversees policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance. Administers the credit union’s business continuity program, records retention and destruction and vendor management programs.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required; three to five years related experience required and/or training. Two years of supervisory experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires knowledge of Federal and State Laws and regulations applicable to credit unions. NCBSO or NCCO or equivalent designation preferred.
Essential computer or other knowledge including a thorough knowledge of financial services policies and procedures, and the ability to make sound, intelligent underwriting decisions based on an understanding of lending policies and procedures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities include establishment of short-range plans and objectives within scope of organization-wide policies and common goals. Consults with superior on specific matters only where clarification, interpretation, or exception to organization policy may be required.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Work involves contacts with personnel of other departments within the organization as well as with general public, representatives of other organizations, vendors, etc., where considerable discretion, resourcefulness, and persuasiveness is required to achieve desired objectives.
