Chef de Cuisine

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 USD plus potential bonus

Location: The Caribbean

My client is a luxury 5-star private members only resort based in The Caribbean. They are looking for a creative Chef de Cuisine to join their culinary team on their beautiful resort and manage a team of 20 staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and events according to resort recipes and standards
• Have full knowledge of all menu items
• Maintaining & ordering stocks and supplier
• Assisting with the production for restaurants
• Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements

• Ensures high quality, palatable and well-presented foods are served
• Creates dishes to meet customer preferences, seasonal variances, and cost objectives

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3 years’ experience working in a 5-star resort and/or fine dining restaurant
• High volume background
• Strong ability to maintain the highest quality standards
• Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
• Career longevity & stability
• Excellent communicator, leader & team player
• Strong presentation skills
