Core4ce Careers is Hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst Near North Charleston, SC

The Cyber Security Analyst is driven by an interest in solving business and cybersecurity problems through security engineering and event analysis. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for instrumenting and performing enterprise security event analysis to identify, analyze and document indicators of compromise. They will work with the VP of Cybersecurity and the Core4ce IT Team to support the development of processes and technologies to improve threat detection and response. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for the Supply Chain Risk management of Core4ce IT vendors.

Responsibilities 

  • Perform analysis of security events. Identify indicators of compromise if they exist. Document and report potential incidents or threats.
  • Develop and implement processes/tools to create, aggregate, monitor and analyze security event data.
  • Build and advocate data-driven solutions that help analysts improve outcomes and processes.
  • Design and build scalable production-ready analytics solutions using an array of techniques and methodologies in the field of security event information management to satisfy requirements.
  • Propose and evaluate innovative solutions for analyzing, aggregating, associating, and classifying security event information data.
  • Investigate various methods of data analysis and collection to manipulate data into a desired format or to ensure accuracy of results.
  • Partner with members of the C4 Cyber Community of Interest to share best practices and insights to support ongoing learning.
  • Extends analytics platform for connected devices and sensors.
  • Resolves a variety of technical problems leading to advanced engineering studies designed to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
  • Assess cybersecurity domain gaps and implements solutions.

Requirements 

  • Associate degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent from an accredited college or university plus four years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent from an accredited university plus two years of relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of relevant technologies: Windows, Microsoft Azure AD, Microsoft Office365, Amazon Web Services.
  • Solid understanding of Risk Management Framework, NIST SP 800-53, 800-171.
  • Proficiency performing Security Event Information Management.
  • Strong understanding of network technologies including routing, switching, and firewall management.
  • Experience using scripting computer languages (e.g. Python, BASH, Powershell, etc.) to manipulate, and extract insights from large complex data sets.
  • Understanding of key IT/Cybersecurity concepts: Network Security, Security Operations & Administration, Incident Response & Recovery, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management etc.
  • Proficiency in security event analysis and presentation tools.

Preferred 

  • Knowledge implementing cloud, server, and endpoint security tools.
  • Cloud Security
  • Experience with Cloud Services in the Federal sector (Google Apps, Amazon Web Services, etc.).
  • Security Certification
  • Operating System and/or Offensive Security certifications desired (MCSE, RHCSE, CCDP, CEH, OSCP or equivalent is preferred).
