Core Reservations Agent is Hiring a PBX Core Reservations Agent Near Montecito, CA

Overview

The CORE Reservations Agent provides prompt,courteous, and efficient handling of all incoming calls and assistance foroutgoing calls which transpire through our phone system, which may includecalls to make reservations for a hotel stay or at one of our restaurants. The position is also integral in assisting with emergencies (fire, medical,power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediateassistance.

EssentialResponsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the property and our amenities.
  • Assist callers with a credit card, calling card, collect, overseas, and person-to-person calls.
  • Allocate designated surcharges, long distance, and operator-assisted charges to correct guest room billing.
  • Monitor telephone system problems and maintain a log of such.
  • Document all guest complaints or problems; notify designated department/ personnel to resolve the situation; follow up to ensure completion and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in emergency situations as a central communication center for the hotel.
  • Review the status of assignments and any follow-up action with an on-coming agent.
  • All other duties as required.

  • Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other management team members in a timely manner.
  • Be proactive, ask questions, and be responsible for the action or lack thereof.
  • Attend and complete the resort’s organized training sessions and programs as and when required.
  • Attend and participate in the hotel and departmental meetings and briefings.

Education: 

High school diploma. Educational experience witha hospitality background preferred.

Experience: 

Minimum one year's experience in a similarcapacity for a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant.

The pay scale for this position is between $21.50 and$22.00/hour, plus commissions. This is the pay range for this position that theHotel reasonably expects to pay.
