Recruiting Manager

The following is the preliminary job profile as well as roles and responsibilities of the Recruiting Manager, which is a critical position in the organization’s recruitment model. The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring the recruiting team. In addition, the Recruiting Manager is responsible for engaging critical stakeholders in the requirements gathering, recruiting, and business development/client solutions elements across departments. The Recruiting Manager is accountable for tracking and refining recruiting goals as well as assuming expectations are met.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading and coaching two junior recruiters: As Recruiting Manager, this position requires mentoring and developing the skills of junior recruiters, as well as setting expectations for the recruitment team and its members. This includes providing guidance on recruiting best practices, setting targets, monitoring and measuring progress, and ensuring that personal and team goals are being met, as well as regularly presenting status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Developing relationships with business leads and stakeholders: The Recruiting Manager must establish relationships with executive team, business unit heads, program managers, client solutions team and other stakeholders in the corporate team to understand shifts in hiring priorities, develop an overarching recruiting strategy, and provide ongoing support to respective business units. This includes providing guidance on job posting language and placement, candidate selection and evaluation, and participation in the interview process.
  • Implementing a recruiting strategy: The Recruiting Manager, in coordination with the President, will develop and execute an overarching, actionable, and measurable recruiting strategy to attract top talent to the organization. This includes surgical candidate sourcing, job posting creating and dissemination, resume review and evaluation, and planning and participation in the interview, including creating standardized scripts and evaluation tools.
  • Demonstrating leadership skills: The Recruiting Manager must demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, make decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Fostering creativity: The Recruiting Manager must be creative in their approach to recruiting and must be able to develop innovative strategic and tactical approaches to attract top talent.
  • Motivating the team: The Recruiting Manager must be positioned to motivate their team members to achieve their objectives, meet/exceed expectations, and foster a positive learning environment that aligns with the organization’s culture. This includes goal-setting, ongoing provision of feedback, and recognition of team member achievements and accomplishments.
  • Working with business stakeholders: The Recruiting Manager must possess a high level of professionalism to work with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing leadership’s expectations, communicating effectively, and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Adapting and multi-tasking: The Recruiting Manager must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and evolving priorities and must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This includes managing competing priorities, working under tight deadlines, and making quick decisions when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a lead position
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a team as well as the ability to bring teams together
  • Willingness to learn
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker that is proactive
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members
