Title: Senior Accountant

Worksite Location: 800 Manor Park Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43228

Duties:

Core Molding Technologies, Inc. seeks Senior Accountant in Columbus, Ohio, to: Conduct daily accounting and reporting of a public manufacturing company; Plan, organize, and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis; Perform monthly review and analysis of internal Profit & Loss; Provide general ledger support and analysis to plant cost accountants; Oversee accounting of capital projects and tooling projects as well as oversight of FAS fixed asset program; Work with external public accounting firm for income tax filing; Prepare requests for quarterly estimates and annual tax filings; Ensure company compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards; Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements; Provide accounting guidance to personnel in operations (plant management, engineers etc.); Assist in design and testing of new reports and changes to existing reports; Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (including bank reporting financial statements) prepared under the U.S. GAAP and IFRS frameworks; Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e., 10-Q, 10-K, etc.) as well as financial statements and tables to be used in quarterly earnings releases and corresponding investor materials/presentations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC rules; Ensure compliance with all SEC and FASB rules and regulations; Draft and manage the review of management discussion and analysis (MD&A) in quarterly and annual SEC filings and provide correspondence summary of operating results in earnings releases; Manage the preparation and review of all other quarterly and annual SEC disclosures and supporting schedules; Review any additional materials provided to investors; Analyze new and existing GAAP and SEC regulations and apply to Company specific circumstances; Prepare and review ad hoc analyses and reports for internal and external reporting requirements; Act as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors; Assist in the preparation of Corporate Departmental annual budgets.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3 years experience in general ledger and corporate accounting either in the manufacturing industry or through public accounting firms.
• 3 years experience applying knowledge of generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP) to perform cross-functional analysis of revenue and profitability in manufacturing and tooling projects.
• 3 years combined experience using Microsoft Excel demonstrated by the following functions: v-lookup, pivot tables, creating formulas, reporting, and data simulation.
• 2 years experience prioritizing and managing multiple accounting processes and activity streams with proven track record of delivering reliable, organized, and timely reporting.
• 2 years experience preparing and presenting capital spending report to the executive and senior management on a monthly basis.
• 2 years experience receiving and analyzing information from engineering teams to determine accounting treatment and validity.
