Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management Clinic

Part-Time or Potential Full-Time Position

At Core Medical Center, our mission is to provide comprehensive multi-specialty care that enhances our patients' ability to function and achieve long-term results. We offer a wide range of medical services, with a primary focus on Physical Medicine. Our integrated approach includes physical therapy, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), chiropractic care, and noninvasive interventional orthopedic procedures. We cater to patients of all ages, including workers' compensation cases. Our commitment is to deliver pain management solutions by addressing the root cause and restoring proper function, without relying on pain medications or temporary fixes.

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who is eager to learn, follows instructions and procedures, and works well in a hands-on patient care environment. This position requires actively engaging with patients, assisting with office flow during lower patient volumes, and treating the practice as their own while striving for its success. The role is dynamic and fast-paced, involving coordination with Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and other medical providers during patient visits. The average patient volume ranges from 3-5 patients per hour, primarily focused on pre-scheduled injection procedures guided by C-arm or ultrasound.

Required Experience (Training Provided for the Right Candidate):

- Trigger point/tendon injections

- Joint injections

- Peripheral Nerve Blocks

- Other nerve blocks

- SI Injections

- PRP Injections

- Orthopedic testing

- Diagnostic Ultrasound (US)

- Prescribing DME

- Botox Migraine Protocol

- Ordering Physical Therapy and Chiropractic services

- Ordering Injection treatments

- Writing orders and following treatment protocols for specific conditions

- Following up with patients to initiate or re-establish care

- Educating patients on care plans and their importance

- Experience with Botox and fillers is a plus, but not required

-Understanding medical necessity guidelines, following the documentation guideline create by core Medical Center and consistently apply them to the procedures and Exams that you perform.

Responsibilities also include:

- Conducting patient exams for new services and programs

- Triage and referral of patients to other departments for specialized care

- Reading and explaining x-rays to patients (training provided)

- Performing fluoroscopic or ultrasound-guided injections (training provided)

- Performing Arthrogram studies (training provided)

- Writing care plans based on Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Educating patients about their care plans to facilitate treatment initiation

- Complete all documentation with full compliance and medical necessity as per facility standards

- Performing sports and DOT physicals (DOT certification is a plus, but not required)

Performance Objectives:

- Evaluate new patients to determine suitable services based on Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Monitor patient progress and modify services as needed in accordance with Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Ensure patient compliance and communicate the importance of following recommendations based on Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Educate patients about their care plans based on Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines and track their progress

- Conduct and document medical exams and orthopedic assessments according to Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Supervise and administer injections (trigger point, joint, etc.) as per Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Recognize and acknowledge patient improvements and goal achievement based on Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

- Participate in internal and external lead generation activities to attract new patients

- Foster effective communication with clinical and administrative staff for seamless workflow

- Oversee management of Medical Assistants

- Ensure accurate completion of patient encounter paperwork by the end of each shift

- Uphold an upstream medical philosophy focused on prevention and function-based care as per Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines

Education & Experience:

- Valid license in applicable state

- Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance in applicable state

- Minimum 1 year experience working as a Nurse Practitioner required

- Minimum 1 year experience in a private practice preferred

- Experience injecting joints preferred

- Familiarity with Core Medical Center standard of care guidelines for treatment provision and ordering

Opportunities:

Part-Time Position: We are looking for candidates available 2-3 days per week (MWTh) from 9am to 7pm (27 hours/week).

Pay: 40-$45 per hour

Full-Time Position: The full-time position (MWTh 9am-7pm, Tue/Fri 9am-2pm) is currently filled, but we are accepting applications for future opportunities.

Salary: 85,000- $93,600
