As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are looking for a Clinic Coordinator for our North Phoenix Vein Clinic. Please see below for the functions and requirements for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients and their family members throughout the entire clinic experience.
  • Organize schedules and manage appointments for patients to ensure they receive care in a timely manner.
  • Schedules office visits and in-office procedures as designated by the department policies and procedures.
  • Answer and resolve patient questions in a timely, accurate manner. Triage and relay necessary messages to appropriate staff members.
  • Provide ongoing communication with patients regarding authorization and the financial aspects of their care.
  • Provide necessary education, instructions, and paperwork to the patient.
  • Confirms all steps and answer all questions with the patient prior to the procedure date.
  • Accurately update patient information in the EMR. Perform all required documentation of work completed.
  • Effective, ongoing communication with clinical staff involved in the patient’s care.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all health records, member information, and meet HIPAA guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years of experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
  • Previous scheduling or customer service experience is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
  • Strong background in computers and data entry is required.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of the healthcare field.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding patient care in the clinic.
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, and HIPAA regulations.

SKILLS

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and phone skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal clinic/office environment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Some bending and stretching are required.
  • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
