QUALIFICATIONS

• Treat all patients courteously and professionally. All patients by all HIPAA guidelines
• Review the schedule at the front desk and call each patient in order
• Use a wheelchair to safely transport any patients that need assistance
• Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, subordinates, and other departments as required.
• Report any patient complaints immediately to the Chief Radiologic Technologist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
• Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.
• Skills in obtaining patient information via the computer.
• Skills in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members, and the public.
• Requires a high school diploma.

The Radiology Assistant is responsible for transporting patients from the waiting room, radiology, and patient room, and tracking all incoming and outgoing patient films.
