Job Title: Kids Club Associate

Reporting Supervisor: Kids Club Lead

The individuals in the Kids Club Associate role are responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy and fun environment for children. The Kids Club Associate will be expected to develop creative and educational activities, preparing and serving snacks and maintaining a clean environment. Additionally, individuals in this position will be responsible for monitoring children to ensure interactions and play are safe and appropriate. The Kids Club Associate may also be responsible for ensuring children are available for individual, group and/or family services and activities.

Typical Work

● Ensures children in Kids Club have good hygiene including but not limited to, changing diapers and assisting in accidents, as necessary;

● Sanitizes interactive areas throughout the day. Ensures the Kids Club space is clean and free of safety hazards;

● Works closely with CORE Health clinicians to ensure children are available for services;

● Engages in educational and interactive activities with the children attending Kids Club to build confidence and self-esteem. Develops a schedule for the children to follow while attending Kids

Club;

● Ensures children are kept active, entertained and engaged in developmental activities. Ensures interactions of play are safe and appropriate;

● Provides appropriate intervention if play is unsafe and/or children are misbehaving;

● Model and encourage good social skills including but not limited to, conflict resolution and effective communication;

● Reinforces behavior rules in Kids Club;

● Maintains communicates with children’s parents and/or legal guardians and contacts them in the case of an emergency;

● Maintains positive relationships with the children and their legal guardians;

● Complies with all HIPAA privacy and security regulations;

● Performs other work as required.

Qualifications

● Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in both group and individual settings;

● Work in a team based environment;

● Knowledgeable in HIPAA regulations;

● Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds;

● Ability to move quickly after children all day;

● Completed the STARS Basics training or is able to complete within two months of employment;

● First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, strongly preferred;

● Holds an active drivers license;

● Has a clean criminal record/background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.74 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

  • Longview, WA 98632: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
