The primary responsibility for this position is to develop and maintain test solutions. The candidate who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. This position will heavily utilize software development and debug skills on multi-rack automated test stations.
The engineer who fills this position must have systems, development, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. The primary software languages used are a combination of LabView, C# and NI TestStand on multi-rack test stations.
Typical test stations include components such as switch systems, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and other RF or digital related equipment. This position also requires development and support of Environmental Stress Screening (thermal and vibration) test equipment and software suites
Responsibilities and job requirements include but are not limited to the following:
• Develop engineering estimates for complex tasks
• Contribute to the success of a cross-functional team
• Perform engineering requirements capture, analysis and creation for complex designs
• Review product designs and analyze test requirements
• Design test hardware including fixtures, cabling, and circuit cards
• Develop automated test software and user interfaces
• Verify test results are accurate, repeatable and reliable
• Lead test software design reviews and ensure the generation of appropriate design documentation
• Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers
• Plan and manage tasks effectively
• Mentor junior engineers
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline is required.
Desired skills:
∙ Programming with C#/LabVIEW
∙ Familiarity in developing with NI Test Stand platform
∙ Fundamental knowledge of RF and digital electronics
∙ Experience with test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Signal Generators, etc.
