CORE Consulting, LLC is Hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (19250-1) Near Colorado Springs, CO
Core Responsibilities:
- Provides experienced engineering support to aircraft manufacturers, end users and other aftermarket customers.
- Provides experienced engineering support for development of new products, operations, supply chain, quality, technical publications and program management. (Primary Structures Design, secondary Dynamic Systems and Product Integration)
- Creates and updates engineering documentation through Engineering change orders and Document Change notices (CO/CN - ECP/CCP/RCP).
- Communicates with internal and external customers on a regular basis
- May lead teams through problem investigation and solution/design approaches as well as continuous improvement efforts.
- Provides root cause and corrective action investigations.
- Direct interface with external customers on engineering issue resolution and product improvements.
- Supports after hours Mission Impaired/OEM requests as experience and knowledge is obtained.
- Supports Material Review Board (MRB) evaluation and disposition.
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high pace environment
- Meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
- 3D CAD experience or training is desired (NX required)
- Experience in aerospace engineering design and manufacturing environment is desired
- Knowledge of commercial and military specifications is desired
- Understanding of commercial and military aerospace design protocol is desired
- Experience with aerospace certification and qualification requirements is desired
- Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate STEM discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace preferred)
