CORE CONSULTING is Hiring a CNC Programmer - 1st Shift (18614) Near Waukesha, WI

The CNC Machining Programmer is responsible for creating programs to manufacture parts, modify or update existing programs and assist with any programming issues. This position will also support the shop floor and work with various departments, such as Engineering & Quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work Safely at all times

· Utilize CAD/CAM and related technology to develop programs for CNC machinery

· Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates

· Determine reference points and direction of machine cutting paths

· Writes work instructions and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine

· Revise programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions

· Observes operation of machine on first run to prove taped or programmed instructions

· Provide technical support for shop floor

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

· Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines and policies

· Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Skills, and Experience:

· Two years CAD/CAM experience required with preferred proficiency in MasterCam

· Proficiency in blueprint reading and machining methodology required

· Able to collaborate with external and internal customers to resolve issues and meet customer requirements

· Experience with MS Office applications

· Possess above average math skills

· High school diploma or its equivalent required

· Technical degree preferred
