Core Business Solutions is looking for an Instructional Designer to support our growing Program Development team. This position is responsible for new course development as needed as well as implementing changes to existing courses when necessary. The Instructional Designer will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate our customers. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

This position will report to our Lewisburg, PA office location. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with SMEs and Program Development (PD) team to analyze assigned subject matter and learning needs to define course objectives and outline the approach to content delivery.
• Collaborates on writing course content with the scriptwriter, based on input from subject matter experts (SMEs), written materials, previous training courses, interviews, etc..
• Designs screen layouts, exercises, knowledge checks, graphics and interactions appropriate to the content.
• Works with the PD team, voiceover talent, video production, graphic designer and related resources to produce draft and final versions of each course.
• Works with SMEs, management, consultants and other staff to collect feedback and integrate into future courses.
• Works with marketing and team members to establish graphical design standards for courses.
• Provides insight into industry best practices, instructional, video and visual storytelling trends, and emerging platforms.

Requirements:

• A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, business, or similar or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years’ experience in instructional design or relevant college coursework.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Proficient with Articulate Storyline 360.
• Experience with Adobe Programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
• Experience with scriptwriting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to multi-task and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in a busy office environment.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in instructional design or similar or equivalent experience.
• 3 year’s instructional design experience and familiarity with an LMS.
• Experience producing and editing on-camera video productions a plus.
