Job Description

Core BTS seeks a System Administrator to manage and optimize computer software systems, storage systems, and computing environment to ensure high levels of availability and security for company applications.

* This is a Full-Time position with a Direct Hire option

* This position is hybrid with on-site and remote scheduling flexibility

The System Administrator responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading IT Systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and troubleshoot problem areas (in person [if on-site], by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, including providing end-user assistance where required

The Server Administrator’s primary focus will include the following:

  • Servers
  • Storage
  • Enterprise applications
  • Working directly with the Manager of Infrastructure
  • Additionally; end-user, phone, and network device support may be required on an as-needed bases

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Working technical knowledge of network, server hardware, and Windows operating systems
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including Enterprise Backups, Anti-Virus Scanning, Server Hardware/Software, File Servers, Meditech.
  • Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws including HIPAA, PCI, and HITECH.
  • VMware
  • Microsoft Server and Application Suite (including SQL Server and Exchange)
  • Microsoft SharePoint (Preferred)
  • Active Directory Group Policy
  • PowerShell
  • Storage Area Networks
  • Backup Software
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment (Preferred)
  • Vendor Management, Documentation
  • Cisco experience a plus

Qualifications

A combination of education and experience including a degree in the field of computer science or information systems or key certifications encompassing 3-5 years equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum three years of experience working in an enterprise environment
  • Microsoft Certifications (Preferred)
  • Cisco Certifications (Preferred)
