CordeValle is looking for a payroll clerk to join our team. Nestled into the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California, CordeValle is a luxury retreat in a picturesque setting between San Jose and Monterey Peninsula. Our 1,700-acre sanctuary blended into the harmony of the natural mountainside landscape that stretches along the inland coast. Infused with countryside charm and elegance, our Craftsman-style resort is a sanctuary of serenity, wellness, and extraordinary experiences.

The payroll clerk will support in-house payroll functions ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll checks and related payroll reports.

Essential Functions:

• Collects and verifies all essential information pertaining to Payroll: timesheets, overtime sheets, deductions or additional income.
• Inputs all data necessary to produce the Payroll in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Review timestamps and payroll notes from employees, including accounting for employees who have less than full workdays
• Ensures overtime is properly approved and accounted for.
• Process tip report payouts
• Reconciles any commission arrangements between employees and the company and distributes all owed amounts to employees via payroll.
• Review and track accurate use of PTO
• Process termination checks, as needed
• Print reports and pay weekly payroll taxes as well as garnishment and 401k deductions
• Assist with certified payroll reports including ensuring employee ratios, pay rates, and statuses are accurate.
• Assist with preparation of monthly workers' compensation reports for gross wages by category
• maintain proper payroll records
• Miscellaneous duties as necessary

• Construction accounting software Viewpoint for Vista a plus
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Able to maintain confidential information
• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
