Coppin State University is Hiring a HRIS Analyst Near Baltimore, MD

Provides technical support related to HRIS, Payroll and other HR systems:
  • Develop and generate reports for internal and external use
  • Complete regular audits to ensure data integrity
  • Perform data analysis
  • Troubleshoot, identify causes of, and respond to inquiries related to data or system issues
  • Maintain system tables, including related to organizational changes
  • Make recommendations for system enhancements
  • Perform user and QA testing for system enhancements and upgrades
  • Act as a liaison with Information Systems
  • Participate as a member of HR system-related project teams
  • Provide training to other HR users
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field
  • 3 years of experience with HRMS and relational databases
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems
  • Ability to prioritize ongoing and new projects, as well as conduct research and gather information
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS. Workday experience is also a plus.
  • Knowledge of university and department practices
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications, with particular emphasis on Excel, to include functions and pivot tables
