- Fire Recruit is a temporary status for new employees while they complete their requirements to becoming a fully certified Firefighter/Paramedic.
- Firefighter/Paramedic is a status for employees who are fully certified.

- November 25: CPAT Invitation sent to candidates selected to move forward
- December 5-8: CPAT Testing

This opportunity is budgeted on a Step Plan.
- Fire Recruit:
- Starting Annualized Salary of $75,000
- Firefighter/Paramedic: $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus!
- Step 1- Starting Annualized Salary of $84,900*
The City of Coppell Fire Department is currently accepting applications for our Firefighter/Paramedic opportunity that meet the following eligibility requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 18 Years of Age
- Valid State of Texas Class C Driver's License or ability to transfer to Class C Driver's License upon relocation with a good driving record
- Ability to pass an annual physical agility test, and maintain your paramedic and firefighter certifications.
- Fire Recruit:
- Paramedic Only that needs Fire Academy Sponsorship
- Texas Department of State Health Services or National Registry Certification/License as an EMT-P
- Firefighter/EMT enrolled in Paramedic School
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Firefighter Certification or IFSAC seals for NFPA firefighters 1 & 2
- Texas Department of State Health Services or National Registry Certification/License as an EMT
- Proof of enrollment in a Paramedic class with the date of completion
- Can be an FF/EMT not enrolled in Paramedic school yet but is enrolled in paramedic school by May 8, 2024
- Paramedic Only that needs Fire Academy Sponsorship
- Firefighter/Paramedic:
- Fully Certified Firefighter/Paramedic

Salary : $71,353 - $76,250
