Copley Fairlawn Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Near Fairlawn, OH

We are a small animal, full-service, one doctor Veterinary Clinic, that is family owned and operated. Located in Fairlawn, Ohio, we opened as a new start-up three years ago. We have a newer, modern, clean facility. We are extremely busy, and are looking for someone that is positive, reliable, is a self-starter and motivated.

We have an enthusiastic, fun, positive, friendly, knowledgeable team, and we are looking for more people to be a part of our team! Be a part of something exciting and new! We know that the staff is what makes a Vet Clinic successful. People can go anywhere to get care for their pets, but we want to be a step above - we offer superior service and cultivate relationships with people and their pets of the community. Please only apply if this is your passion - we want to build careers, not just another job!

  • ***Reliability is an absolute must! We are a small clinic and every team member plays an important and crucial role in keeping the business running smoothly. We need people that want to work and love their job!***
  • The right applicant must most importantly have a desire to help people and their pets, be friendly, positive, and professional at all times, even in stressful, fast-paced situations.
  • You must enjoy working with the public, speaking with clients, able to answer telephones and work the computers. This job is not just taking care of cute pets (although that is a huge part of the job! :)) You also deal with their humans, and must be okay with communicating with them; and answering phones as well.
  • You must be physically able to lift 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and get down on the floor with the animals. This is a fast paced industry and we are very busy.
  • We prefer someone who has some veterinary experience including but not limited to: assisting the doctor in medical, surgical and dental procedures, prepare patients for surgery, monitor patients during surgery recovery, animal restraint, computer/technology skills as we operate on a cloud-based software and are a paper-lite clinic, ability to set up and perform certain lab tests, take X-rays, prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients, maintain a clean environment, answer phones and help at the front desk when needed.
  • You must be a team player, have reliable transportation, and pay attention to details.
  • We are closed on weekends - most of our employees work 4 days per week.
  • We are closed for all major holidays. Full-time employees receive holiday pay in addition to 40 hours paid vacation per year, after their 90-day introductory period.

If you are interested, please contact us to learn more about this amazing, rare opportunity to work in a new, modern, fun veterinary clinic that is all about teamwork and excellent care!
