Copley Fairlawn Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician Near Fairlawn, OH

We are a small animal, full-service, one doctor Veterinary Clinic, that is family owned and operated. Located in Fairlawn, Ohio, we opened as a new start-up three years ago. We have a newer, modern, clean facility. We are extremely busy, and are looking for someone that is positive, reliable, is a self-starter and motivated.

We are looking for a *Registered Veterinary Technician* that has a current and valid license.

**We are currently offering a $400 sign-on BONUS if you get hired in the month of January!** (Bonus will be paid after 90 days of employment.)

  • You must have a valid up-to-date Registered Veterinary Technician certificate.
  • The right applicant must most importantly have a desire to help people and their pets, be friendly, positive, and professional at all times, even in stressful, fast-paced situations.
  • Reliability is an absolute must! We are a small clinic and every team member plays an important and crucial role in keeping the business running smoothly. We need people that want to work and love their job!
  • You must be physically able to lift 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and get down on the floor with the animals. This is a fast-paced industry and we are very busy.
  • We need someone with veterinary experience including but not limited to: assisting the doctor in medical, surgical and dental procedures, prepare patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, monitor patients during surgery and recovery, administer fluids, place IV catheters and properly care for them, take blood, animal restraint, computer/technology skills as we operate on a cloud-based software and are a paper-lite clinic, ability to set up and perform certain lab tests, take X-rays, prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients, maintain a clean environment, answer phones and help at the front desk when needed.
  • You must be a team player, have reliable transportation, and pay attention to details.
  • You must enjoy working with the public and speaking with clients. This job is not just taking care of cute pets (although that is a huge part of the job! :)) You also deal with their humans, and must be okay with communicating with them.
  • We are closed on weekends - our full-time employees work 4 days per week.
  • We are closed for all major holidays. Full-time employees receive holiday pay in addition to 40 hours paid vacation per year, after their 90-day introductory period.
