COP CONSTRUCTION is Hiring a Fueler/Oiler Near North Salt Lake, UT

Job Description

The Fueler/Oiler performs routine services on equipment and vehicles such as fueling, greasing, coolant, oil and filter changes at remote jobsites as well as the primary shop and yard location.

Responsibilities

  • Know and follow all company safety rules and company policies and procedures.
  • Fuel, grease and change oil and filters on vehicles and equipment.
  • Identify equipment and vehicle mechanical problems.
  • Safely operate fuel truck and equipment.
  • Log and maintain accurate records of fuel and maintenance services.
  • Assist Equipment Department with other duties as assigned.
  • Be a team participant to help the crew produce measurable, positive performance, while administering COP’s Core Values of SAFETY, EXCELLENCE, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK, POSITIVE ATTITUDE & DEDICATION.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience working on our around heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to travel to areas of remote construction project location when required.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • CDL required (Class B with hazardous endorsement)
  • Capable of identifying, utilizing and operating tools and equipment associated
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to follow and comprehend supervisor’s instructions and maintain communications with supervisor of job status and current assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Meet all conditions of COP’s drug and alcohol testing requirements as a condition of employment, including pass a pre-employment drug screen and alcohol test.
  • This position requires a substantial amount of time spent on construction sites exposing the employee to outside weather conditions.
  • As part of the construction industry an employee may encounter a variety of conditions, environments and temperatures depending upon the particular task being performed, including but not limited to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold, extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate in the office and moderate to high in the field.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
