Human Services is Hiring a Clinical Coordinator Near Lexington, MA

Description

Founded in 1981, the Cooperative for Human Services, Inc. is a multi-service organization that provides residential services, independent living supports, and guardianship services for people with intellectual and other related disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Supports, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for effectively performing the essential functions of the job. Provide clinical services and supports consistent with the organization’s philosophy, approach and its other interrelated clinical practices. Work in collaboration with all members of CHS’ clinical team as well as with employees and management at all levels of the organization to achieve positive clinical outcomes on behalf of the people we serve. Develop and implement clinical plans; review, analyze data and revise interventions as necessary. Provide practical training to programmatic employees, including direct support workers and managers while upholding the organization’s mission, philosophy and values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the CHS clinical team, develop and implement clinical interventions, strategies, approaches and plans designed to enhance the lives of the people we serve.
  • Regularly observe the interactions and interventions as implemented at assigned locations. Provide immediate coaching and re-direction as needed. Demonstrate the interventions as indicated by the clinical plan.
  • Develop data collection forms/charts; collect, review, and analyze data to ensure the efficacy of current clinical interventions and plans. Revise and modify as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for the individuals served.
  • Attend and actively participate in clinical meetings, clinical appointments, ISP meetings, family meetings, etc. as necessary.
  • Assist in obtaining and arranging for additional services; attend service appointments as directed or indicated.
  • Conduct small group sessions with the people we serve to enhance socially normative interactions and interpersonal skills in a variety of life areas (relationships, conflict management, etc.).
  • Provide written reports, statistical and narrative data on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis to support program evaluation measures, etc.
  • Participate in the development of new program models and service options, including developing relationships with our funding and referral sources.
  • Participate in ongoing in-service training and other mandatory staff meetings.
  • Continually monitor support relationships for potential abusive or neglectful situations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures of CHS, DDS regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree in related field highly preferred
  • 5 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Must be currently licensed/credentialed in the state of MA as one of the following: Psychologist, independent clinical social worker, applied behavior analyst, master's or doctorate level speech pathologist, physician, master's or doctorate level teacher with certification in special education, or a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC)
  • Licensed Applied Behavioral Analyst (LABA) or BCBA highly preferred
  • Previous experience directly supporting people with developmental disabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team
  • Knowledge of DDS systems to effectively meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to design, develop, write, and implement program plans based upon standards and regulations
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds to safely assist/transfer persons served
  • Ability to understand and comply with multiple regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • A valid Massachusetts/New Hampshire/Rhode Island driver's license, reliable vehicle and good driving history record
  • Demonstrates a high degree of organizational skill and time management for multiple competing priorities
  • Must be passionate about making active contributions to an organization focused on continuous quality improvement
