Human Services is Hiring an Assistant Program Director Near Melrose, MA

Description

Assistant Program Director

Cooperative for Human Services Inc. is a multi-service organization that provides residential services, independent living supports, and guardianship services for adults with intellectual, developmental and other related disabilities.

We are looking for compassionate leaders to join our team as Assistant Program Manager ! Our Assistant Program Managers work inside our residential programs, helping our individuals with various activities of daily living, while also ensuring the operational side of the program is running smoothly.

Assistant Manager's schedule is typically 3 PM - 11 PM during the week, with one weekend day 9 AM - 5 PM

Job Duties:

  • Act as a Leader of the program; partner with Manager to ensure operational side is running smoothly Assist in the development of the routines of the program
  • Form meaningful relationships with individuals we serve
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living; This may involve laundry, cleaning, cooking, meal prep, and personal care
  • Promote healthy, engaging activities based on the individuals’ interests (Walks, art, music, exercise).
  • Administer medications as applicable
  • Provide transportation as needed
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of individuals served by monitoring relationships for abuse/neglect, responding to health and medical needs, and responding/reporting all emergencies

Pay: $20.70 per hour

Requirements:

  • MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification required
  • First Aid and CPR Certification required before starting employment - we will direct you to an online course to obtain this!
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Be able to lift up to 30lbs
  • Ability to read and write in English
