Job Overview: Cooper Machinery Services is currently seeking a paid Mechanical Engineering Winter Intern. This position will assist our Engineering Team in Houston to support our specific engineering activities that service our manufacturing process, equipment, and customer’s needs. You receive opportunities for professional development, further education, training and individual career development. Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You will work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met while providing Cooper with meaningful, useful output. The Engineer Intern will have an exciting opportunity to apply their engineering knowledge to develop practical and effective solutions in these markets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Intern will typically support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering. Assist in preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids. Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data. Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
