Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:

Cooper Standard’s Industrial & Specialty Group (ISG) is seeking a highly motivated and organized team player with a passion for creative marketing. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts identified in the marketing plan to achieve immediate and long-term business goals. The marketing coordinator will touch almost every aspect of our marketing and advertising job functions, providing an excellent opportunity for individual growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, project management, email marketing, SEO and graphic design basics. The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help promote consistent company branding and messaging to support Cooper Standard’s brand identity and strategy through all marketing efforts
  • Conduct and analyze the research of competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior
  • Assist with trade show and conference planning and execution
  • Maintain an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed
  • Monitor email and website engagement, qualify new leads and report on ROI successes and ongoing areas for improvement
  • Manage lead generation efforts by creating and monitoring email campaigns, establishing contacts and coordinating mailing lists
  • Coordinate with the commercial team to meet email campaign timelines and objectives
  • Continually research and recommend new sources of prospective customers
  • Distribute marketing materials to current and potential customers in coordination with the commercial sales team
  • Co-development of advertising and other promotional materials, including video, printed materials, web development, social media and sales presentations
  • Execute recommendations for content development in coordination with SEO goals
  • Assist in identifying areas for improvement across daily responsibilities
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams within the organization to identify opportunities for new content and sales tools
  • Collaborate with team members and organize workstreams to keep projects on task, seeing them through to completion
  • Cross-collaborate with our global communications team for best practices and feedback
  • May be asked to perform duties other than those specified in the job descriptions
  • May occasionally be required to travel
  • Hybrid work schedule offered as permitted by direct supervisor 

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent degree is a plus
  • 5 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong PowerPoint experience
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and guidelines
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Experience in video filming and Premiere is a plus
  • Basic HTML or scripting experience (i.e. Drupal) is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Cooper Standard facilities or event locations as necessary
  • Strong writer

Work Environment/Work Conditions:

  • Professional office environment
  • Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor
  • Travel to other Cooper Standard facilities or customer locations when required
