This position is key within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers *Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work Duties and Responsibilities: * Move materials around as needed to complete the main function (i.e., mixing, baking, packing, etc. * Operate equipment as necessary to accomplish tasks and meet targets * Evaluating hazards, verification of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment * Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations Responsible for leading and coordinating the packaging end of the production operation. Conducts minor equipment maintenance. Contributes to the day-to-day expectations of production, including product quality, output rates, and maintaining a safe work environment. Constant interaction with other line associates, operators, team leaders ,and QA. Responsible for the coordination of line associate rotation. Orientate temporaries to Cookietree production procedures, and quality and safety requirements. Complete daily paperwork at the end of shift. Ensure equipment is operating correctly, provide minor maintenance as necessary, and recommend work orders for equipment repairs. Ensure supplies are available and meet quality guidelines. Able to prepare all equipment for operation and coordinate changeovers in production. Complete pre-op, production audits, lot code, set and validate case print. Inspect uniforms for hair and proper use of hairnets and beard-nets. Confirm case counts vs. production runs. Log pallet movement on production freezer sheets correctly and validate against warehouse freezer sheets as job is completed. Pallet jack inspection prior to use, proper use of pallet jacks and movement of pallets to stretch wrapper. Make sure all processes are being done correctly. Read and understand specification books. Follow and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices, housekeeping, quality and safety requirements. Track production downtime. Lead stretching. Conducts training of associates in the packaging area. Assist with employee PFS reviews. Must follow all allergen guidelines, i.e. containers, aprons and utensils. Communicate with following shift any information critical to production.
