Overview
The primary function of this role as Distribution Team Member (DTM) is to receive Cook Medical stock and to ensure it is stored and shipped correctly to customers.
Responsibilities
- Receiving stock / storing in designated areas.
- Issuing stock in a timely manner to appropriate areas with ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Cycle counting.
- Ensuring correct product is picked, tallied and shipped.
- Ensuring all paperwork for shipments received is checked and dealt with correctly.
- Ensuring that all delivery, inventory and shipping procedures are adhered to.
- Ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the warehouse area.
- Highlighting any potential issues to supervisor / team leader to ensure timely delivery.
- Working on value added services which are required.
- Working on any other tasks that may arise during the course of a normal day in this type of environment.
- Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure that all internal procedures are in compliance with the Medical Devices Regulation and the company’s Quality Policy Manual.
- Ensure that Cook´s Values and the Code of Conduct are considered in all business matters carried out on Cook´s behalf.
Qualifications
- Experience in a handling of finished goods from receiving to shipping.
- Qualification in intra-logistics profession is an advantage.
- A valid forklift license is an adavantage.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to do shift work.
- Previous experience in a medical device company, while not essential is advantageous.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the German language (reading, writing and speaking).
- A valid fork lift licence is needed for working in the receiving area.
- Willingness to work overtime hours and at weekends if required.
- Availability and willingness to travel on company business.
