CONTRACT PHARMACAL CORP is Hiring an Electrical Technician Near HAUPPAUGE, NY

Description

Position Summary:

The Electrical Technician position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all electrical equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

· Performs electrical repairs with minimal supervision. 

· Install all electrical machinery. 

· Interprets and draws schematics and electrical currents.

· Diagnose/troubleshoot malfunctions with minimal guidance.

· Use of various hand and power tools.

· Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

· Maintain equipment in a neat and clean fashion. 

· Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

· High School or GED diploma required.

· Five or more years of relevant work experience.

· College degree or Trade School required.

Skills and Abilities:

· Understanding of electrical schematics and drawings. 

· Pays attention to detail. 

· Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

· Ability to communicate effectively.

· Able to lift up to 10 pounds.

· The operation of certain machinery requires eye, hand, and foot coordination. 

· English proficient.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None

Personnel Protective Equipment or Attire Required for Position: 

· As needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Indoor and outdoor weather conditions with temperature extremes, fumes and noises/vibrations.

· Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, talk and hear.

· Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate controls and reach with hands and arms.

· Occasionally required to push materials.

· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

· Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
