Contact Government Services is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Washington, DC

As a Financial Analyst with CGS you will be responsible for managing activities around the reconsideration of funds allocation for our Government customer. It is the responsibility of the analyst to review financial statements, reports and ensure requirements are met per Government regulations. Responsibility also includes a reviewing and drafting of recommendations and maintaining records. 

Job Duties

  • Understand PRF, and IRS requirements for providers and ensures compliance with those rules and regulations, including HHS specific reporting requirements
  • Review and understand PRF requirements for payments and reconsideration application
  • Review providers’ supporting documentation and financial reports to perform due‐diligence procedures and identify potential concern
  • Correspond with applicants in a timely manner
  • Review the processes for all PRF fund payments
  • Maintain a cooperative, supportive and amiable relationship with other members of the organization
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills

Education/Work Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably, with accounting experience or commensurate work experience
  • Familiarity with software such as grants management process
  • Understanding of financial statements of providers
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Previously performed financial due diligence reviews of providers
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Understanding of the legal environment and tax-exempt status, including knowledge of expenditure responsibility requirements
  • Previous IRS work experience strongly preferred
