Director of Operations

Consolidated Supply Co. a Pacific Northwest plumbing, water works, and hydronic heating wholesale distributor has an opening for a Director of Operations. This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Tigard, Oregon with travel up to 50% of the time. This position reports to our Director of Branches. 

Job Description:

The Director of Operations directs the efficient and cost-effective warehousing facilities. Manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management, and claims. Oversees outbound activities related to order-filling, stock replenishment, and shipping. Responsible for budgeting, customer service, facility and equipment operations. Administers overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy, and loss prevention programs to ensure that customer requirements are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, operations management, information systems management, or related field; and 
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in wholesale distribution management, with the responsibilities of inventory control, shipping, receiving, picking orders, and warehousing; or
• Working knowledge of a central distribution center is preferred, including, but not limited to daily activities, continuous improvement, technologies, and CDC setup
• 2 years or more of experience implementing within a LEAN work environment preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-described essential functions
• Ability to travel up to 50% within or out of company footprint
• Plans, develops, and implements safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations

• Responsible for overseeing and assuring compliance to Federal, State, and/or any other regulatory guidelines and agencies.

• Solid computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.
