The Room Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the PM Room Service operation while providing excellent service to our guests with the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
* Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
* Ensure team members complete side work according to hotel standards.
* Serve guests in a warm, timely, professional manner.
* Ensure department storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Be familiar with the operation of the hotel computer system.
* Be familiar with all cashiering forms.
* Follow all state liquor laws.
* Ensure hallways are free from trays, debris, etc.
* Assist in other outlets during peak times.
* Supervise all Room Service personnel.
* Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
* Work with other Food - Beverage Managers and keep them informed of issues as they arise.
* Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.
* Complete and distribute each day's hospitality function assignment for the next shift (if applicable).
* Ensure effective communications between shifts.
* Monitor quality of service.
* Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed during each meal period.
* Oversee preparation, set-up and delivery of amenities.
Skills and Experience
* At least 18 years of age
* One year in the hospitality or restaurant industry
* Basic computer skills
* Must be able to speak, read and write English and have basic food/beverage knowledge
* Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
* Supervisory experience preferred
Education
* High school diploma or GED
