About the Position:

The position is responsible for processing disbursements; the manual entry of transfers/wires/checks, review imported disbursement batches for accuracy, processing of invoices and employee reimbursements. Preparing analysis integral to the preparation of annual Form 1099s. These primary responsibilities assist in the successful yearly processing, monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and reconciliation of check disbursements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete accounts payable and employee reimbursement processing, ensure the accurate application of funds to budget accounts and ensure adherence to CHFA policies and procedures. Reconcile check disbursement report and research returned checks; initiate appropriate action.

Review FORI expense and EMAP disbursement/closing batches for accuracy. Create and enter all manual disbursements; ensuring accuracy in details. Enter daily deposit; ensure all check detail is supplied and apply checks to the correct loans and bank account.

Monthly analysis in preparation of yearly 1099 misc. forms ensuring IRS compliance. Document retention: ensure the quality control for accuracy and viability of reproductions for audit and record retention purposes. Monthly destruction of physical check copies in accordance with retention policy. Distribution of deposit log and populate check images for compliance.

Preparation of daily trustee letters (summary of all disbursement transactions), reconcile details within the letters to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness. May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Associates degree in accounting and a minimum of two years’ of experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to process a high volume of data accurately and within stringent deadlines. Ability to take on new tasks with little direction. Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must have knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations. Must have computer knowledge and excellent data entry skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word™ and Excel™ and the ability to become proficient in the use of proprietary software package.

Salary Range: $57,088.00 - $90,676.00
