Job Description

Reports to: Sr. Director of Revenue Accounting and Operations

A quick snapshot…

As a Senior Revenue Analyst at Conga, you will use your knowledge and partnerships with sales, operations, and legal to ensure accurate revenue recognition. You’ll play a role in reviewing subscription orders and resolving any order questions and discrepancies. You’ll also help with posting monthly revenue journal entries, preparing monthly financial review packages, conducing variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis and projects that come up.

Accurate Revenue Recognition is important to the top line of Conga’s financial statements. You will play a directly role in the correct revenue recognition treatment and support annual audit, impacting the success of Conga’s transformation and growth.

Are you the person we’re looking for?  

Related experience. You’ve walked the walk with experience recognizing software revenue for 2 (or more) years or in public accounting auditing revenue 3 (or more) years. You have advanced skills in Excel with pivots, look ups, and report building to allow quick analysis of data.

Adaptable. You’re as cool as a cucumber when you’re under pressure. In a dynamic and ever-changing environment, you can manage multiple priorities and responsibilities. You take the lead to make quick and logical decisions with confidence, making an immediate impact.

Quality oriented. You rarely make mistakes because you have good processes in place to ensure that every detail is correct. But in those rare occasions when errors are realized (let’s face it, it happens to the best of us from time to time), you own them, correct them, learn from them, and then quickly adjust and communicate processes to ensure the same mistake doesn’t happen twice.

Initiative. You don’t wait around for things to happen or for your manager to tell you what to do. You’re not only proactive about completing your own work, but when you sense the need to introduce a project that will benefit the team or the organization -- even if it’s outside your scope of work -- you put a proposal together, talk to the team about it, and own it. And that also goes back to having an entrepreneurial spirt.

Here’s what will give you an edge…

Analytical thinker and creative problem solver. You’re able to see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter -- a key skill in this role. But where you really shine is with your ability to identify creative solutions to solve problems or unique situations.

Tools and systems experience. 

• You’ve worked hands-on with Salesforce and NetSuite (ERP and ARM)
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• You’ve obtained or are pursuing your CPA license

Industry expertise. Let’s face it, understanding the Software as a Service industry and/or Revenue Lifecycle Management software (CPQ & CLM) would allow you to hit the ground running.

In the spirit of the Conga Way, we strive to design easy-to-understand compensation programs that are fair and free from any type of discrimination, and which enable us to ‘Achieve Together.’ We communicate transparently about the structure of our compensation programs. ​In keeping with this approach, we’re committed to delivering a competitive compensation and benefits package to all colleagues worldwide. Target compensation is determined by market location for each role.

The following information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The general base salary target for this position in Colorado is $89,789 per year; however, the actual base salary offered may increase (or decrease) depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a variable incentive pay component, perks such as flexible work options, and a full range of benefits including medical and dental insurance.
