What Will You Do?

The Role:

Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting on retail operations, including revenue, expense, related balance sheet accounts, and acquisitions. The Senior Accounting Manager will work closely with accounting management and cross-functional leaders to ensure the financial statements are completed timely and accurately in accordance with US GAAP.

• Analyze and clearly articulate financial results, demonstrating an understanding of root causes and notable variances in presentations to management.
• Support the timely preparation of accurate financial statements based on US GAAP.
• Be a key leader in the development and coordination of a best-in-class financial accounting organization that will support our long-term growth strategy for Revenue streams, strategic initiatives, and efficiencies.
• Create and support the design and implementation of effective internal controls over financial reporting, particularly with revenue, various reserves related to the business, and significant accounts in the financial statements.
• Lead continuous process improvement while supporting routine responsibilities.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of supplemental financial reports for internal and external requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, budget variance reports, and forecasts.
• Manage ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed, including detailed analysis on specific revenue streams or lines of business.
• Recruit, develop, and monitor team member performance. Work closely with team members to meet deliverables satisfactorily.

The Perfect Match!

The Perfect Match:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, CPA or MBA highly desirable.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience leading general ledger accounting teams in multi-location companies with annual revenue exceeding $500M.
• Big 4 or comparable Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Extensive experience in fast paced, complex work environments.
• Proven ability to think strategically and plan effectively.
• Experience working at companies with multiple locations and entities (e.g. retail).
• Ability to execute and produce work that is complete, accurate, and timely.
