Confidential is Hiring a Master Technician Near Franklin Park, IL

We are looking to hire a master technician with strong diagnostic skills & competent on the floor. Perform in shop service and repairs on gas and diesel engines.

A minimum of ten years of diesel experience is required.

Working Hours/Days:

2 day shifts available

7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday, weekends as needed

9:00am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday, weekends as needed

40 hours required, minimum

Basic Duties:

  • Focusing primarily on fleet maintenance. Strong diagnostic skills required for this position
  • Getting vehicles in & out of the shop quickly and correctly
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and driveability
  • May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a formal technical training program preferred or 10 years of field knowledge & experience required.
  • Electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills needed.
  • Basic computer skills are needed especially with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and CAT Programs.
  • Possess good communication skills and able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be a self-starter and able to adapt to change.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus
  • Must possess hand tools, scanners are a plus (laptop supplied by shop)

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

This position works in a shop environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields) ear protection, gloves, steel toe boots when needed. Sitting at a desk answering telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
