Confidential is Hiring a Collections Specialist Near Cape Coral, FL

We are looking for an experienced Collection Specialist to join the team. This position will require interacting with clients and vendors along with departments within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Investigate historical data for each debt
  • Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
  • Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
  • Process payments
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  • Update account status records and collection efforts
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Utilize online portals to verify all information
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Patience and ability to manage stress
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Skilled in negotiation
  • Problem-solving skills
