Software Test Engineer

About the Role
The Software Test Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to help support our enterprise claims processing system. You must be detail-oriented with great communication skills, with willingness to learn about the Payments industry. Candidates should also be able to effectively multi-task while remaining flexible to changes in priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in the day-to-day QA activities
- Designs, builds, develops, and executes manual/automated test scripts
- Working closely with Team members (Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Developers and Quality Analysts) to write test plans and test cases according to requirements
- Creating and executing manual test cases/scenarios, performs tests including functional, integration, and regression performance
- Testing web applications thoroughly to ensure all features are running smoothly
- Analyzing test results and create test reports subsequently communicating reports to stakeholders
- Participating in requirements and code reviews to track, analyze and resolve defects
- Participating in Mobile application and API testing
- Assisting customers in User Acceptance Testing
Requirements:
- Have 4 years of experience with software testing
- Expertise in quality assurance process, practices, and software testing tools
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Software automation scripting experience using Selenium/TestNG using Java
- Hands on experience in using Linux environments, Shell scripting skills
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and web client technologies
- Knowledge of full system development life cycles
- Familiar with Agile concepts and teams
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to determine the root causes of the identified issues
- Knowledge working on Payment systems, Banking and Financial sector domain preferred
- Strong communication, Organizational and time management skills
- Experience in testing mobile applications.
- Webservice testing using SOAP and REST APIs
