Conduent is Hiring an IT Operations Manager Near East Lansing, MI
- Calmly and accurately perform initial front-line diagnosis, triage, and scoping of issues with cloud and networking, off-the-shelf and custom applications, server resources.
- Coordinate multiple support teams for cloud and on premises devices and applications.
- Full-spectrum support and hardening of local computer resources.
- Prioritize critical tasks to ensure client delivery dates are met.
- Own disaster recovery procedures and tests.
- Support IT security and compliance activities, for example audits and remediation.
- Lead interactions with vendors to ensure production specifications and requirements are met.
- Collaborate and partner with Client Services team to manage client requests and provide status updates.
- Participate in client meetings to support existing business and future opportunities.
- Maintain on-call availability nights and weekends for systems maintenance and emergencies.
- Monitor, maintain, and update all physical and information security aspects of the project.
- Conduct performance appraisals and any needed disciplinary actions.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Operational readiness and prioritization to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Maintain onsite inventory of hardware and software.
- Frequent and detailed written communication with management, staff, and client.
- Manage and prioritize helpdesk tickets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or other IT technical certification, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a production support environment.
- Experience performing on-site support of hardware and software on behalf of remote teams of subject matter experts.
- Experience working with remote support teams for devices and applications that are remote and/or remotely managed.
- Experience supporting local and remote end users.
- Experience with project management and a hands-on approach to driving efforts to completion.
- Familiarity with principles of cloud computing, virtual desktops and hypervisors, Active Directory organization, database structure and organization.
- Ability to translate the needs of the business into technical service delivery.
- Customer-service approach to Service Desk support.
- Exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
- Ability to accomplish routine and emergency tasks with minimal oversight.
- A passion for learning new technology.
Preferred:
- Experience in implementation activities for a transactional/customer service production environment.
- Experience supporting payment processing environment.
- Banking or Government Sector experience.
