Business Analyst

About the Role

You will be responsible for coordinating user requests and/or program initiatives for new or modified application programs. You will be collaborating with operations, clients, and other vendors related to system issues and/or system defects. You will determine the compatibility with existing programs, computer capabilities, costs, and time requirements of requests.

Responsibilities

• Creating, executing, and maintaining operational databases and reports.
• Developing detailed understanding of business processes and application software.
• Participating in the design of application software based on business requirements and processes.
• Coordinating and writing manuals to describe for users the installation and operating procedures for computer programs.
• Analyzing and resolving problems with operations and application, including being a liaison to clients.
• Converting of project specifications into functional specifications.
• Formulating plans outlining steps required to develop programs, using structured analysis and design.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Services, Computer Science or related field. Or an Associate’s Degree in similar field with 5 years’ experience
• Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ work experience in application development, including 1 year of application design experience or 3 years of general business experience
• Demonstrated progressive technical skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of MS Access
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML and Web Page
• Be able to be the liaison with other vendors and our client
• Be able to organize work, set priorities, remain flexible and adapt to change
• Be able to problem solve through analysis and ongoing feedback
