Condon-Johnson & Associates is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Oakland, CA

The Human Resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Director and Accounting Department to support business functions and objectives. The HR Generalist will evaluate and execute coordination and delivery of HR services to the company.

This individual should have strong growth potential within the HR Track as this position carries out responsibilities in the following function areas: Benefits administration, supports payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/affirmative action and ensuring employment law compliance.

Experience:

3 years of proven HR experience with medium exposure to employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, administration of HR information systems, recruiting and selection process.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization team members.
  • Serves as a contact and resource for team members regarding HR related issues, handles questions & concerns while maintaining good working relationships, and builds credibility with team members.
  • Source and schedule recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and interns; conduct or coordinate new-employee orientation; and drafts job descriptions and posts new openings across Job Boards.
  • Coordinates On-boarding: reviews all documents, enters all new hires into accounting system, benefits enrollment, coordinate with IT, Office Managers, and District Managers to ensure all items are taken care of.
  • Benefit Administration: works with broker to manage benefits for eligible employees
  • Knowledge of compliance with federal, state and local employment, and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and files, maintains affirmative action program records and EEO-1 information.
  • Assist with certain job requirements; OCIP enrollment, Local Hire requirements, etc.
