VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

Concord Technologies is currently seeking a Vice President of Marketing for our growing team in Seattle, Washington. Reporting directly to the President, the VP of Marketing is a newly created position. You will be expected to rapidly elevate the Concord brand, scale demand through your team’s lead generation efforts, develop and implement the marketing strategy, effectively position our brand against the competition, and ultimately drive revenue by increasing sales through marketing activities.You will lead a team of 8 who thrive on getting their hands dirty while maintaining a laser-focus on big picture goals.

As the leader of the Marketing organization, you will grow the team, nurture talent, and inject new ideas into the business. You will help shape our go-to-market strategy and translate that strategy into objectives and measurable initiatives.As a member of the Concord leadership team, you’ll be passionate about telling our story to the world and keeping our rapidly expanding organization engaged and connected.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leadership:You will own the responsibility for developing and executing a world class Marketing strategy that achieves the Company’s growth and financial goals; you will also build and mentor a high performing team that is results-oriented, responsive, pro-actively collaborative across the organization, and indispensable to the Sales organization.
  • Growing Demand and Driving Awareness:Through the use of an aggressive and targeted lead generation programs, in partnership with our Director of Demand Generation, you will scale the volume and breadth of our existing inbound and outbound operations while adding new audiences, channels, and platforms that extend Concord’s reach. You will measure all your team’s efforts and drive ROI. Your number one definition of success is marketing generated leads that result in qualified opportunities.
  • Developing Concord’s Brand:You will transition Concord from a “fax company” into a transformer of healthcare data exchange.You will shape our story, assert our position as a leader in the industry, and put the established players on notice: Concord is coming at them. Fast!
  • Building Awareness:You will grow the Company’s Public Relations, Analyst Relations, Events, and (online) ad footprint to ensure buyers have us time top-of-mind through every step of the buying process.
  • Continuous Feedback Loop:You will regularly meet with Product Development and Sales to share marketplace feedback and fresh ideas on how to improve Concord’s products, features, and value proposition.
  • Engaging Customers:You will find new ways to connect with existing users, educating them on the problems the Company can solve.You will create a group of fiercely loyal Concord fanatics to tell our story in a way only the Customer can.
  • Creating Content:You’ll translate our value and stories into content for a multitude of digital channels. Whether its campaign assets, web content, sales collateral, or interactive tools – you will drive the effort to produce concise, polished, and readily consumable information that delivers.
  • Supporting Sales:Your Market Research and Competitive Intelligence efforts will sharpen the Sales teams’ approach.The tools you create along with analytics you harness will help those teams gain a better understanding of their buyers and more importantly, close more deals.
  • Measuring Performance:You will put the systems and processes in place to better measure impact and returns.The metrics you put in place will show the business what is working and what’s not.This data will not only track our trends, but it will also become the bedrock for Marketing’s strategic planning.
  • Managing Operations: Develop and grow your team, manage a growing budget (in terms of both increased spend and additional headcount), implement new systems and processes, outsource projects, secure vendors, produce reports, put out fires, juggle requests - these are some of your favorite things.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience:7 years of hands-on successful management of marketing teams.You come from a B2B Software/Cloud services space or have a clear “builder” and growth-oriented mindset working in a larger B2B technology organization.You are currently growing a smaller, highly agile Marketing team and effectively supplementing bandwidth through external agency relationships.Any prior experience you have in Healthcare Technology is preferred but will consider all B2B Cloud backgrounds.
  • Leadership:You are passionate about shaping strategy and more importantly realizing it.You provide valued counsel to your peers and thrive in collaborating with strong personalities.You work hard to inspire and enable your teams, whilst driving a culture of accountability.You understand team velocity and are adept at keeping projects on-track without burning the midnight oil. You have deep experience leading a team.
  • Performance:You prize results over activity.You can demonstrate a consistent track record of meeting milestones and blowing through targets. Your primary measure of success will be delivering results in leads, customers, and revenue.
  • Data-Driven:You have a strong relationship with and passion for data.You use data to plan, track performance, better-understand buyers, find new audiences, and make course-corrections early.
  • Communication:You are an expert writer, presenter and strive for open and transparent communication.You can make the complex seem simple and are an expert at stripping out noise and distraction from the story you tell.

Education:

  • Four Year Undergraduate Degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel is required; additional travel may be required to the Concord Office based on home office location.
