Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible to support all aspects of the daily and monthly accounting duties such as; Accounts Receivables, and Collections, along with the tracking and handling of special billing situations and associated billing discrepancies. Additionally, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will utilize Sage 300 as a means of reporting, and communications to collect payments from CES customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer or GC.
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records
• Perform account reconciliations
• Review and focus on open customer accounts for collection efforts
• Ability to provide a positive and helpful demeanor during all customer communications and to maintain and improve customer relationships
• Work collaboratively with other departments as it relates to customer billing and discrepancies
• Ensure customer resolution matters are handled timely and accurately
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Non-Essential Duties

• Cross-train within the department to provide backup coverage as needed
• Use self-initiative to remain current with industry trends (engage in webinars, virtual conferences, educational reading, etc.)

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• 3 years of Industrial / construction billing and AR experience.
• Familiar with current accounting terminology, principles and practices
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as listening skills
• Ability to work and plan collaboratively and effectively with internal and external customers
• Work with high level of integrity, ethics and confidentiality
• Excel reporting. (look-up, Pivot tables and other reports)

Experience

• Good or excellent Microsoft Office Skills. (Excel and word)
• Sage 300 - Preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
