Job Duties:

The Product Director will be responsible for the product strategy, vision, execution, and success of a complex Transaction Monitoring and Payments Screening product in the US market. The position's responsibilities will include the following: 

  1. Define the product strategy, vision and success criteria of a complex Transaction Monitoring and Payments Screening product in the US market. Utilize understanding of foreign exchange, trading and international cross-border payments market to develop the product strategy;
  2. Be responsible for end-to-end product development process including ideation, planning and execution. Write product requirements on Transaction monitoring and Payments Screening for software development teams. Utilize knowledge of foreign exchange, trading and international cross-border payments market to turn detailed technical specifications into user stories and process maps that can be used by software developers to get new products to market;
  3. Utilize expertise with managing development teams to manage the end-to-end software development process by working closely with the engineers writing code to bring new features in Transaction monitoring and Payments Screening product to market;
  4. Provide insight on customer pain points with our product in the US and guide technical teams on complex issues that need addressing to drive customer satisfaction. Leverage understanding of complex, innovative developments in the market including Distributed Ledger Technology and Payments to Mobile wallets. Utilize cross-border payments industry knowledge (including SWIFT Message Types, Automated Clearing House, and ISO 20022 File formats) to develop new products;
  5. Identify new product opportunities in this space. Generate, maintain and prioritize the product backlog;
  6. Create Go-To-Market strategy for the Transaction Monitoring and Payments Screening product and provide inputs into Product Marketing. Conduct research on Transaction Monitoring and Payment screening market, regulatory trends, banking and non-banking infrastructure and technology to develop marketing strategy. Collaborate with colleagues and customers to generate new product; and,
  7. Report to the VP Product and US management team on key performance metrics and strategy.

Job Requirements

Employer requires a candidate to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field and at least eight (8) years of Product Management or Strategy work experience with at least five (5) of the eight years spent working in Financial Technology firms. In addition:

  1. Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical products in the FinTech or FS space gained through five (5) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability being technically advanced and to engage and drive Engineering teams gained through eight(8) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated experience in Agile Frameworks like Scrum or Kanban and the ability to define product backlogs using epics & user stories gained through five (5) years of work experience;
  4. Demonstrated experience leading highly successful products within a product-centric company and delivering features in cloud native environments gained through five (5) years of work experience;
  5. Demonstrated experience with a deep, extensive US network (payment companies, banks, bank associations, regulators) gained through five (5) years of work experience;
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of the US Transaction Monitoring/Screening market having worked in regulated Financial Services such as a growing FinTech or a larger bank gained through five (5) years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently. 

10% travel in total (5% domestic travel and 5% international travel) is required.
