Start Line Pediatrics is a small pediatric office that specializes in a "town doctor" approach. We are located in Hopkinton, MA and are looking for a qualified Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position, 3 days/week, with competitive pay. Potential for per diem hours, in addition. COVID-19 vaccination required. An ideal candidate loves kids and families and is a friendly, intelligent, hardworking, detail oriented, team player with previous pediatric office experience. Some evenings, weekends and minor holiday work required.Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Creating a welcoming, calm environment for patients and their families, preparing patients for exams, procedures, treatments, recording medical history and vital signs in EMR and administering immunizations.Assisting the providers in all aspects of the consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens (including blood draws) and performing basic laboratory tests on premises.Maintaining medical supplies, inventory, and disposal.Maintaining equipment by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.Ensuring regulatory compliance with OSHA guidelines, CLIA regulations, HIPAA medical privacy guidelines.General office skills including keyboarding, office computer software, filing, answering telephones, email, faxing, copying.Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written skills needed for interacting with patients, families, caregivers and coworkers is a must.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.Medical Assistant Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a valid Massachusetts Medical Assistant Certificate.Experienced MA's preferred.
