- We are hiring immediately for a SUPERVISOR, SHIFT-HOURLY (MARKETING) position.
- Location: San Jose State University - One Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192. Note: online applications accepted only.
- Schedule: Full-Time; Monday through Friday.
- Requirement: Prior marketing experience preferred.
- Starting pay: per hour
- Essential Duties:
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Interns to implement and promote the dining program at San Jose State University
- Maintain positive communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events
- Assist in social media calendar development and promotions
- Act as a brand representative
- Create marketing materials to numerous specifications
- Monitor and direct student interns to ensure they meet goals and timelines
- Assist with the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market

Job Summary
Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
- Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
- Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
