Supervisor of Emergency Shelter will help to move toward our vision of thriving survivors in safe communities.
The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
The
Supervisor of Emergency Shelter is responsible for providing supervision and oversight of Emergency Shelter operations.

Duties and Responsibilities - Provide oversight and leadership to the daily operations of Emergency Shelter, including: scheduling for coverage; managing direct service for comprehensive daily case management, counseling services, and support groups for adults, children and families experiencing trauma; and providing individual and/or group supervision to employees, students, and interns.
- Oversee and coordinate the organization of the client intake processes and files, and ensure data entry in the current database is accurate and appropriately reflects client interactions/progress. Support staff in trauma informed interactions and professional boundaries with co-workers and clients. Lead/co-lead regular case conferences and team meetings.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Emergency Shelter, Program Leadership, and other Executive Leaders to: make strategic decisions regarding shelter clients and transitioned client support; examine programmatic changes and prevention initiatives; and determine overall outcomes of Emergency Shelter operations.
- Participate in Strategic Planning and CWF Re-visioning as needed.
- Assist Director with facilitating and/or participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Provide regular evaluations and performance reviews/improvement plans in compliance with Center policy and procedure.
- Assist Director with budget development and management. Support healthy fiscal outcomes of Emergency Shelter and overall Agency funds.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field may be substituted for a degree.
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets CWF automobile insurance requirements.
- Fluency in languages other than English are a plus.
